Micah Field utilizes his considerable experience in labour and employment law on behalf of his clients. He is counsel for some of the largest Construction unions in North America and also represents unions in the Public Service sector. He has litigated numerous grievances, employment insurance claims, WCB appeals and Human Rights complaints. His vast litigation experience extends to the Alberta Labour Relations Board, Canada Industrial Relations Board, Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Tribunal, Provincial Court, Court of Queen’s Bench, Court of Appeal, Federal Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Canada. He advocates directly to the Federal and Provincial governments on matters of concern to his clients.
Mr. Field also shares his experience through speaking engagements and has been the keynote speaker at conventions in Canada and the United States on issues such as drug and alcohol testing, damages in grievance disputes and organizing. He is the past Co-Chair of the Canadian Bar Association, Northern Alberta Labour and Employment Law Sub-Section. Mr. Field was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1997.
